Additionally, he has received teaching commendations from Rutgers NJ Medical School for his contributions to academic clinical medicine. His most prized recognition, however, comes each year from patients and families who nominate him for the Patients’ Choice and Most Compassionate Doctor awards.
Dr. Swan maintains strong ties to Burma, where his medical career began, and has been recognized for his contributions to the country’s disaster relief efforts. He also served on academic teaching faculty of Raritan Bay's Internal Medicine Residency Program, and Intensive Care Unit Committee where he improved the quality of patient care.
